During my time at Barefoot Proximity, a subsidiary of Omnicom Media Group, I was one of two copywriters who worked on the company’s social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn). Through our efforts, the pages saw a steady increase in engagement which was reflected in the agency members’ and prospective employees’ positive attitudes towards the culture.
Specifically, the Barefoot Proximity Instagram page’s average engagement more than tripled without any paid support during this time.
Now for a bit of Twitter trolling …
Barefoot Proximity is a dog-friendly office, so obviously, we had to make a quiz for the employees that would tell them which Barefoot office dog was their true spirit animal. I interviewed the
servants dog owners about their dogs’ preferences, tendencies, and habits, and made the quiz accordingly. You can take it here on Buzzfeed, if you’re into that kind of thing …
Just for fun, here’s a screenshot of our Facebook live stream from the 2020 Barefies, the company’s annual award show. We got to interview all our coworkers (other than those who pled the fifth) about “who they were wearing” and which award they most anticipated. Plus, peep the unnecessarily large Barefoot logo microphone. Oh, what a night. 💃
